Anandashram
Founded in 1939 by Swami Ramadas, a great Vaishnava saint of modern times, this asramam is one of the two notable asramams in Kanhangad. The main asramam and other buildings have a beautiful setting in the midst of shady mango, coconut and other groves.
Nityanandasramam
The Nityanandasramam, situated on the hillock, was founded by Swami Nityananda. It has 45 guhas (caves) in a mountain slope. There is a temple built in 1963, resembling the style and design of the famous Somanatha Temple in Gujarat. The asramam has a full size statue of Swami Nityananda in sitting posture made of panchaloha.
Ananthapura lake Temple
It is the only lake temple in Kerala and the Moolasthanam (original seat) of Ananthapadmanabha Swami (Sri Padmanbha Swami Temple) Thiruvananthapuram. There is a local belief that Ananthapadmanabha had settled down here originally. The industrial park of Kinfra is also situated here.
Beak Fort
Being the largest and best preserved fort in the State, the Beak Fort has an alluring scene of the sea shore.
Bela Church Kasaragod Town
Constructed in 1890 AD, this is one of the oldest churches in the district. This Gothic style Roman Catholic Church which is under the Mangalore Diocese has been renovated.
Kasaragod Town
Situated on the bank of river Chandragiri, this town is the confluence of several languages and culture where eight languages are spoken. The splendour of Kasaragod Saree comparable to that of Kanjeepuram is a cynosure of the market. Kasargod is popular for cash crops like Areacanut and Coconut. It has the Malik-Deenar Juma Masjid, the Malika Arjuna temple and the Dolors Church. It also boasts of having the Pulikkunnu, one of the seats of the assembly of gods where 39 Theyyams are presented for the annual festivals.
Mallikarjuna Temple
Situated in the heart of the Kasargod town, the temple has the deity of Lord Shiva. It is one of the famous temples in Kasargod district. The temple festival and yakshagana are the special features.
Nellikunnu Mosque
Nellikunnu Mosque is a famous mosque. It has the Nercha celebration during the second half of November which lasts for one week.
