Tusharagiri
Tusharagiri, located near Vythiri in Wayanad is famous for its trekking tracks.
Mananchira Square
Manan-chira-maidan, is the sublimation of the concept of a planned modern city. It has the historic maidan, which has been converted into an arcadia with beautiful trees and plants, artificial hill, shrubs, sculpture, an open air theatre and a musical fountain.
Kirtads
Kirtads is a unique museum which houses the tools and devices used by the ancient tribal communities of kerala. It also has a good library ob books on Anthropology and Sociology.
Beypore
Being one of the prominent ports and fishing harbours of ancient Kerala, Beypore was also an important trade and maritime centre. It is located at the mouth of the Chaliyar River. Ancient Beypore was much sought after by merchants from Western Asia, for its shipbuilding industry. The boat building yard here, famous for the construction of the Uru (the Arabian trading vessel), boasts a tradition of almost 1500 years.
Pazhassirajah Museum
Pazhassirajah Museum has the copies of ancient mural paintings, antique bronzes, old coins and models of temples and megalithic monuments. There are also the Art Gallery and the Krishna Museum. It has an excellent collection of paintings by Indian artists and wood and ivory carvings.
Kappad
Kappad is the beach on which Vasco da Gama landed on 27th of May 1498. There is a monument on the beach to commemorate this historic event. This rock studded beach is locally known as Kappakadavu.
